by Czar on Jun 30, 2022 12:00 AM

    Summary:
Been using this tool for about 3 years now. Simple integration with bamboo & Jira. Great reporting and security/access managmement. UI can be tricky and not intuitive at some points.

"Great for larger teams looking to integrate with other Atlassian products."

by MLucas on Apr 16, 2022 12:00 AM

    Summary:
Bitbucket works with everything from ASP, .net, Django, Python. It's easy to create/remove projects and add different team members. It's perfect for big teams to collaborate on code together. While it is a paid resource, it integrates very well with Atlassian products. If you don't care about that integration I'd reccommend looking into GitHub which offers similar services.

    Summary:
Super helpful when searching for pieces of code, managing branches, and handling pull requests. Provides secure and easy to use source control tools which is great for teams. One unique feature is the Bitbucket Pipelines which make for quick and effective CI/CD.

    "Great for students"

    by Twee <3 on Apr 13, 2018 11:28 AM

    Summary:
I had to use Bitbucket over Github in my web dev class. It offer students a free upgrade that gives a bunch of extra features, something that Github lacks. You can add an unlimited amount of collaborators to your projects, keep your projects private and have unlimited repositories. I really enjoyed keeping my code secure, so keeping it private was a wonderful option. I would highly recommend you start with Bitbucket if you are a student!
